Eric Effertz, Vice President of Sales, West at Viewgol, has dedicated three decades to the healthcare industry. His passion for healthcare IT (HIT) and commitment to client success has helped him build a proven track record in sales and strategic partnerships.
Eric’s healthcare journey began in medical equipment sales before he transitioned into HIT in 2001, joining Companion Technologies. He later worked at Misys (now Allscripts), NextGen Healthcare, and OSIS, a nonprofit that supports community health centers using the NextGen platform. At NextGen, Eric attained remarkable success, consistently exceeding quota year after year and receiving various awards for his outstanding performance.
Eric’s long-standing professional relationships with Viewgol co-founders Doug Huffman, Kristen Closson, and former NextGen colleague Reid Storch ultimately led him to join the Viewgol team. As VP of Sales, he utilizes his extensive experience to highlight the advantages of Viewgol’s business intelligence and analytics solutions, empowering potential clients in the western US to improve their RCM processes and boost efficiency.
Eric holds a degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Missouri.
In his personal life, Eric enjoys traveling, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, SCUBA diving, hiking, and spending time with his family. With two lacrosse-playing sons, Eric is a proud father who strives to instill responsibility and character in his children as they grow into young men.
